Modern Living at The Camelot!
A Lifestyle Designed for You
The Camelot provides high-quality living spaces at market-reasonable rates for households across a range of income levels. This ensures that individuals and/or families with a range of income levels can enjoy living in the communities where they work and thrive.
HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROGRAM
The Tax Credit Program is designed to make quality housing more accessible and affordable for low- to moderate-income individuals and families. By offering apartments at reduced rental rates, this program provides financial relief for qualified applicants. Eligibility is determined based on household income. The program helps bridge the gap between market rental rates and the ability of qualifying tenants to pay rent.
Do You Qualify?
To be eligible, each household must meet the income limits set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and based on the State and County-specific Area Median Income (AMI) guidelines. Income limits are determined by household size. The income is calculated as the total GROSS income (before taxes and deductions) of all household members. Below are the income maximums for different income levels available at the Camelot:
| 50% AMI Income Limit | 80% AMI Income Limit | |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Person | $45,250 | $72,400 |
| 2 People | $51,700 | $82,720 |
| 3 People | $58,150 | $93,040 |
| 4 People | $64,600 | $103,360 |
These income limits are published by the Department of Housing and Urban Development for 2026.
Application Process
To apply at The Camelot, interested individuals must complete an online housing application and meet a minimum income requirement of 2.5 times the monthly rent. Applicants will need to provide proof of income, asset documentation, and necessary identification, and pay an application fee of $50. A non-refundable holding deposit of $200 will also be required, which will be applied to the security deposit at move-in.
ASSISTED VOUCHER PROGRAM
In collaboration with the West Hartford Housing Authority, The Camelot offers a limited number of rent-assisted apartments through the Assisted Voucher Program. This initiative provides individuals and families with stable, high-quality housing while reducing the financial burden of rent. The program uses a waitlist process to ensure fairness and transparency. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements before being added to the waitlist. As apartments become available, those at the top of the list are contacted to complete the final application steps. By offering reduced rent and a structured allocation process, the program enables residents to invest in their future while enjoying a well-maintained, supportive community.
